OK, Yes it's True! This is About "De-Escalation Comedy Resistance!"
The truth is that this is a very serious effort to use comedy to help our country heal. Our goal is for this comedy to be adopted by an existing nonprofit promoting nonviolent resistance as another tool to help support existing, unfunny resistance work. ISE/CBD Comedy Patrols embodying Kingian healing resistance values and trained in de-escalation should spoof rogue ICE and CBP agents at rallies and, if needed, in the streets. Nonprofits promoting nonviolent resistance and comedy partners develop de-escalation training and reusable comedy before live test audiences. In the field, trained ISE/CBD patrols mockingly “defend” ICE and CBP agents whenever they go rogue with MAGA nonsense, pretending to want to join ICE/CBP. ISE/CBD Patrols in pink tutus with Nerf rubber chicken “rifles” are flanked by green Peace Frogs so angry citizens know it’s a joke, not rogue Feds. The successful “tactical frivolity” of the Portland frog protests shows that rogue ICE/CBP agents want fear, not ridicule. Good ICE and CBP agents (they exist) will be encouraged to denounce the madness and help refocus on their true mission. Trained clergy can play themselves, building on de-escalation successes in elections.
The overall plan reduces the risk of violence on ALL sides.

The ISE-CBD Patrol delighted the folks of the March 28 2026 No Kings Rally as they marched across the Memorial Bridge. Our plan is to create trained units of "De-Escalation Comedy Resistance" whenever ICE or CBP go rogue. This “attack satire” will never de-humanize. A little empathy never hurts. Many ICE/CBP agents are victims of MAGA lies and manipulation. ISE/CBD Comedy Patrols will embody Kingian nonviolence values in healing resistance, the need for accountability, acknowledgement of harm, and the recognition of the opponent’s humanity.
This is Impactful, De-escalation Comedy Like past nonviolent resistance, ISE/CBD comedy is dislocative, dramatic and attention getting. The nonviolent
resistance movement Otpor! effectively used humor against the Serbiandictator Slobodan Milošević. ISE/CBD comedy should peacefully challenge rogue ICE and CBP agents, while encouraging good ICE and CBP agents to challenge the madness.

We Need Clergy & Peace Toads, Too!
On the stage and on the streets, each patrol is peacefully challenged by a 1) clergy member with clerical collar (preferably real clergy) trained in de-escalation techniques used recently in US elections and 2) and a Peace Toad inspired by the wonderful Portland frog protests. If ISE or CBP are unjustly detaining people or they show up at voting places during elections, the ISE-CBD Patrol will be there to "support" them, along with a Peace Frog and a clergy member trained in de-escalation techiques!
